Aligué restaurant proposes a traditional Catalan cuisine based on fresh, locally sourced products. The proposal focuses on the territory’s identity from a contemporary and professional perspective.

A family history tied to the territory

Founded in 1957 as a roadside establishment in the El Guix neighborhood of Manresa, the project is a benchmark for gastronomy in the region. The third family generation, led by Pep Aligué in the dining room, maintains the establishment’s identity following its reopening in 2024. 

The premises preserve their welcoming and elegant character, focusing on unhurried and professional service. Head chefs Ramon Gonzàlez Juberó and Ferran Domínguez Camprubí manage the kitchen, maintaining the house’s historic legacy. The team works to preserve the establishment’s historical essence through an updated technical execution and strong dining room expertise.

Classic recipe book and market cuisine

The culinary proposal is divided between “esmorzars de forquilla” (fork breakfasts) and lunch services based on the daily market products.

Early in the morning, traditional preparations such as callos (tripe), cap i pota, or pork cheek stand out. A network of small local suppliers supplies a kitchen that adapts its recipes according to seasonality and truffles. Technical appetizers like artichoke textures with squid coexist on the menu with canonical fish dishes like hake kokotxa. Charcoal grilling and slow-cooked stews anchor the meat section, where oxtail or kid goat shoulder excel. Each dish seeks a clean flavor using premium raw materials.


Local commitment and DO wine references

In the dining room, Pep Aligué coordinates a warm service that prioritizes guest comfort and promoting local options. The wine selection places special emphasis on wineries from the DO Pla de Bages and established references from the Catalan scene.

The offering is mainly structured à la carte, with suggestions changing daily based on the catch of the day and market purchases. The average price is aligned with the quality of the product and the house’s history.
