ViBa Fair Centralizes Bages Wine Industry
30/06-07/07 Manresa becomes the capital of DO Pla de Bages with a program centered on indigenous varieties and local cuisine.
The ninth edition of the fair is complemented, between May 30th and June 7th, by the Tastos Singulars cycle, featuring sessions led by specialists in different venues across the region (from 12 to 48 euros). The main events begin on Thursday, June 4th with the Fair Dinner at Parc de la Seu, a eight-course Slow Food menu based on seasonal vegetables. On Friday, June 5th, the Nit de Picapolls takes place, dedicated to this indigenous white grape variety, and on Saturday, June 6th, the festival moves to Pati del Casino for the Wine Exhibition, featuring more than fifteen local wineries. Aperitif and High-Altitude Tasting at Bouquet d’Alella

This two-hour activity is held regularly throughout June at 11:00 AM—and at 12:00 PM in English—with prices ranging from 25 to 40 euros. The experience begins with a technical tour of the estate’s sea-facing vineyards and the winery facilities. The core of the activity features an analytical tasting of four Bouquet d’Alella wines paired with an aperitif based on local products, such as sheep’s milk cheese and llonganissa de pagès. The activity takes place from Wednesday to Sunday in two time slots, from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM and from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM, at its facilities in Batea. The proposal consists of a guided pairing tasting where the winery’s portfolio is analyzed, from its renowned vermouths to its range of regional appellation wines. The conceptual tour links each liquid production with a selection of agricultural products from the region designed to highlight its profile. In addition, the venue features a free charging point for electric vehicles to facilitate travel. Sessions are open during the week with advance booking required.

The Orígens Experience Showcases Abadal’s Legacy
13 i 26/06 The Bages winery offers a walking tasting of iconic wines for small groups across its historic estate.
Scheduled for Saturday, June 13th at 10:00 AM and Friday, June 26th at 6:00 PM, this two-hour experience is priced at 42 euros. The Orígens initiative consists of a walking tasting through four unique spaces. It begins at the 12th-century manor house with Abadal Sagristia C-1 rancio wine and continues to the Abadal 3.9 vineyards, recognized as a Vi de Finca Qualificada. The tour analyzes the clay jar aging process of the indigenous Mandó grape variety and concludes at the wine bar with the Nuat white Picapoll. Each wine is paired with a specific gastronomic bite. Spaces are strictly limited to a maximum of 12 people.

Música a les Vinyes Festival Launches in Subirats
19/06 The Penedès festival opens its 23rd edition with Carola Ortiz’s new musical project at Oliver Viticultors.
The opening day will take place on Friday, June 19th at 8:45 PM at the Oliver Viticultors facilities in Subirats. The event begins with a welcome glass of wine, followed by the official presentation of the festival and a concert by clarinetist and singer Carola Ortiz. The artist will present her fifth album, Enllà, based on the poetry of Dario Olartua, in an acoustic format accompanied by guitarist Bartolomeo Barenghi. After the performance, the evening includes a tasting of wines from the host winery paired with Ordal peach, a key seasonal local product. Tickets are available through the festival’s official channels.
