A historic shop in Vic’s main square
Founded in the mid-19th century by Llucià Riera, descendant of Vilada (Berguedà), Can Vilada has witnessed the transformation of Vic and its culinary traditions. Originally a grocery and salted fish store, it gradually specialized in pork charcuterie, becoming a local landmark for quality products.
Generations of dedication
Today, Joan, Conxita, and their son David represent the fourth and fifth generations managing the family business. Their selection includes cured meats made from duroc pork such as longaniza, fuet, somalla, baiona, and sobrasada, as well as cooked specialties like butifarra, black pudding, and bull blanco. They also prepare special assortments to showcase the traditional flavors of the Plana de Vic.
Tradition with modern service
With shops in Vic and Olot, Can Vilada also offers a convenient home delivery service through phone or Whatsapp orders across Catalonia. This way, the timeless charcuterie tradition of Vic continues to reach new homes while preserving the craftsmanship of more than 150 years.
