Cal Monegal, in Olius, has produced organic beef since the 1970s and, since 2009, has its own shop. It offers organic, locally sourced products certified by CCPAE and home delivery with refrigerated transport throughout Catalonia.

A long-standing commitment to organic farming
Cal Monegal, located in Olius (Solsonès), is a family project that began in the 1970s with beef production. In 2001, the farm switched to organic production to ensure a model more respectful of the environment and animal welfare. The decision was successful: the meat, more nutritious and flavourful, was well received by consumers. This led to the opening, in 2009, of their own workshop and shop to bring the products closer to the public.
Today, Cal Monegal offers not only its own organic beef but also pork, lamb, chicken, and rabbit from small trusted farmers who share the same philosophy. All meat is certified by the Consell Català de la Producció Agrària Ecològica (CCPAE), guaranteeing both traceability and quality.

Commitment to quality and territory
The aim of Cal Monegal is to make top-quality organic meat accessible to everyone, countering the idea that it is a luxury product. The cows, mainly of the Salers breed and crossed with Charolaise, live in semi-freedom and are fed with organic pastures and forage. Collaborators such as ECOTAURE for beef, Soler de Preixana for pork, Casa Batlle for lamb, and initiatives like Bec d’Or for chicken, all share a sustainable approach that puts respect for nature first.

In addition to meat, the shop also offers a wide range of organic products: fruit, vegetables, eggs, preserves, pasta, legumes, chocolate, and hygiene or cleaning items. The offer is constantly growing, always with criteria of proximity, quality, and adaptation to customer needs.

Distribution and contact
Cal Monegal provides home delivery with refrigerated transport throughout Catalonia with no minimum order. In Solsona and Pi de Sant Just, delivery is free of charge. In other areas, costs depend on the order and delivery route, with flexible conditions for each client.
